“”Barbershop Blues” is a track I made while learning to play the bass,..” – PA.II (Patrick Pillah) explains.
“I wanted to reproduce the feeling I felt sitting in my uncle’s barbershop, not getting a haircut but enjoying the sounds in rotation while my uncle cuts, slowly moving to the beat, occasionally interrupting the conversation everyone else in the shop is having, just so he could enunciate his favourite part of the song in rotation.” – PA.II
I wanted to make a track he would enjoy but unfortunately Uncle Emma isn’t here with us physically, makes it harder to get his opinion on this tracks like he used to back in the day.
So I made a project. “NyamaNyamaSound” In reminiscent of the blessed times spent with him at the shop, also as an ode to one of the few people that supported this my crazy passion.
