#AFWT2019 Industry Networking Mixer

On Saturday, May 11, 2019 the organizers of the fastest growing diverse Fashion Week in Canada, African Fashion Week Toronto, will be hosting their 6th Annual Face of AFWT Industry Networking Mixer inside Toronto’s luxurious Cambria Gallery.

The event will provide an amazing opportunity for established and upcoming models to make new connections with key fashion industry influencers, in an effort to develop and enhance their modeling portfolios in an interactive fashion industry networking environment. Industry professionals including photographers, models, designers, casting agencies, media reps, influencers, bloggers and many other high profile attendees will be present to network and have access to the pool of talented young models participating in the search. Prizes, giveways, live entertainment & more will be provided.

Admission: $20 advance (Proceeds support the ‘AFRO Centre for the Arts’)

Where: Cambria Gallery (91 Parliament St., Toronto)

STEPHANIE HENRY, Reporter Breakfast TV/680 News


The event will be hosted by the lovely Stephanie Henry – Traffic Reporter for Citytv’s Breakfast Television and 680 News Community Events Reporter. She’s been in love with media ever since she could remember and spent a lot of time growing up reading, writing, and even teaching herself about reporting. She’s a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism program at Seneca College and started her internship with 680 News in 2016. As of 2017, she was officially a part of the team and given the task of reporting on fun events happening in the GTA and reporting traffic for Breakfast Television.680 News and Breakfast Television have given her the ability to provide news you can use in a fun and dynamic way!

ROCHELLE CLARKE, YouTuber/Beauty + Lifestyle Influencer


Rochelle Clarke is a Toronto-based YouTuber, Beauty + Lifestyle Influencer of Jamaican heritage and mother of 2. Her viral social media accounts have amassed over 300,000 subscribers/followers combined. You can check out her new hit single “Let Me Know” availble on all streaming platforms now.

BRANDON GONEZ, Reporter/Anchor CP24 Breaking News


Brandon Gonez is a reporter and anchor at CP24, delivering daily coverage of the most significant breaking news unfolding across the GTA.

He joined the CP24 team in January 2019 from CTV’s YOUR MORNING, where he woke up Canadian viewers with cross-country weather updates as the program’s weather anchor.

Gonez began his career in Northwest British Columbia as a video journalist for CFTK-TV News, before being promoted to senior reporter and fill-in anchor for the nightly news in Terrace, B.C. There, Gonez covered the ongoing missing and murdered Aboriginal women story as well as the controversial liquefied national gas (LNG) sector. He then joined the Global News team in Regina, Sask. as a reporter and anchor, before moving into the role of reporter/weather anchor at CTV News Barrie.

Hailing from Brampton, Ont., Gonez is a graduate of York University with a B.A. degree in Communications and a certificate in Television and Radio broadcasting from Seneca College.

Gonez enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially his nephew, Noah. In his spare time, he likes to travel, watch Raptors games, and play basketball and tennis.
