There’s a new African grocery store in town! The store officially opened its doors on Friday August 21st located in Scarborough at 4679 Kingston road. This new neighbourhood grocery store is selling everything Nigerian, Ghanian, and Caribbean groceries.
Why Scarborough? Owner Oscar stated that Scarborough has a growing African community population. There are many African grocery stores in North York but not nearly enough in Scarborough.
You can find your essentials here such as fresh yam straight from Nigeria, dry crayfish, MILO, and pounded yam.
There’s currently a special Indomie sale happening for $17.99 for a whole box that usually sells for $25.
Grocery Africa is available for curb side pick up as well as utilizing platforms such as UberEats and Instacart delivery to make grocery shopping easily accessible as well as convenient for everyone. They will also soon be launching on Cornershop so make sure you are following them on Instagram and visit their website to stay up to date.
