The social unrest around the George Floyd incident along with COVID 19 outbreak has birthed an all-time uprise of opportunities for the black community like never before.
Government as well as private organizations have been throwing their weights behind the minority community and black businesses in particular. Particularly in the food industry, food manufacturing companies and “big box” companies in Canada, have extended partnership opportunities to food business Startups to have their products featured in the local shelves, amongst other brand promotion opportunities. Data however reveals that a lot of black food businesses are not able to take advantage of these opportunities due to lack of optimization. This is where the TFL Food Summit comes in.
The TFL Food Summit has the ultimate goal of providing enlightenment and resources to help food entrepreneurs set up or standardize their business operations to be at par with global standards. This would in turn, empower them to be able to scale up their businesses and become global brands.
