Meet Staasia Daniels
I go by the name of Staasia Daniels, music chose me, and I’m faithfully working towards making my dreams a reality.
What makes me create music is not in just my ability to do so, but it’s just in me to do, it’s like breathing. Of course, there are other things I want to get into, but music is first. I have so many stories to tell.
I grew up listening to the greats from, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Bee Gees, Anita Baker, Shabba, Shania Twain, Reeba, Kirk Franklin. I mean, from young I was imitating these artists to the latter of Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Brandy, etc. Singing moved me from within, and since then, I knew it was what I wanted to do, even though I’ve been super shy.
Hidden Gems the EP
Hidden Gems EP, is my first ever, project. Through the years of me being an artist, and writer, like many, I’ve gone through A LOT! I worked damned near 5 years to creating my perfect project and too many things stopped it from happening. These songs weren’t actually going to be used for anything, I had just created most of them during a time of feeling stuck. Stuck in dead emotion, stuck in feeling like it’ll never happen to me, stuck on a recent breakup, financial setbacks, friends who are no more etc.

I had the most fun doing the “Never Fade” video for sure. I always wanted to recreate a video from the 90’s and Janet Jackson’s ” That’s The Way Love Goes” is what came to mind. I didn’t expect so many people to come out, and support me either. People always say things, you know, so you sort of get used to it.
It’s been a super long time since I had a love interest too, so that was nerve wracking, but fun working through the nerves. The best part, was that I was so comfortable being myself.
“The feedback on my music, so far, has been great. Nobody is ever going to love everything I do, and I’m ok with that when it comes up.” ~ Staasia Daniels
